Classic!
Last night Aaron and I decided that Aaron should shave his head - he does it every summer because it's easy and cooler once the weather gets warm. Well... I was in the shower while he was shaving his own head - he likes to do it himself and likes when I clean things up for him at the back and around his ears... but he wasn't using his own clippers that he usually uses (they're pretty heavy duty) so he used my little peanut clippers with a guard which takes twice as long to use and be done with and they're a bit fidgety... well... the guard fell off and now he has a good gash out of his hair line... it's almost a perfect square cut out of the back of his head. It's just one of those classic things that happens in life and you watch on funniest home videos... I couldn't help but laugh. I love my husband!

Husband xo
I just wanted to say... that I have the most wonderful, understanding, loving, caring husband in the whole world. I love how when I cry he wipes away my tears, he always makes me laugh, even if it's not out loud, he is by my side when i need him there and he puts away all the spiders that attack me in the basement every day - he is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love him so much. xoxoxo - Wifey

Success!!

So the other day I had an interview with the manager at Aldo to get a job that I applied for about a week ago... things didn't go so well in the interview because I told her I wanted to go to school... and I wore jeans... apparently a big no-no... but the manager liked me so she made an appointment with me for today - well things didn't go as planned because she had a meeting with her bosses so they almost had to cancel on me last minute... but instead they had me interviewed by a manager over at Feet First (and boy am I grateful for that!). I was super nervous because I really want this job, I've been stressing about it all week haha. The interview went super well and in the next 10 mins after we said our goodbyes, I got a phone call while I was on the phone with Aaron telling him how well I thought it went... the manager of Aldo was on the other line and she offered me the job! I am so excited and can't wait to start training next week =D
I love shoes.
Last Dance with Mary-Jane
Pretty sure I got high last night from all the second hand pot smoke that kept getting blown at the back of our heads, and for someone who has never even touched any of that sort of stuff it was quite the powerful smell! - But Tom Petty was a blast! I love concerts, I've been to so many and this was just an other great experience. I texted both my parents to let them know I was there and that I got tickets to see him and they both called me a lucky brat - I'd have to agree. He is someone I grew up listening to here and there along with other great bands that my parents listened to on tapes/CD's or blasted on the radio. I looove music and used to sing and preform quite a bit when I was about 15-17ish years old, so I always appreciate a really great concert. It's not easy getting up there... so maybe that's why so many rock-stars get wasted or high before a show...
But hopefully that will be my "last dance with Mary-Jane" ;)

The Question...
So people are constantly asking me... "How's married life?" I'm glad they want to chat, but really... why does EVERYBODY ask that? It's like asking the obvious... maybe I should ask them... "How's unmarried life?" haha I don't mean to sound rude or cranky because I'm not, it just makes me laugh! Do they want to hear that I'm having a horrible time or something? It's obviously great! When you get married you typically marry the person you love and want to spend the rest of your life and beyond with. Why would I marry someone if I didn't know of their habits and quirks and even the wonderful things about them? Obviously married life is wonderful if you're in love. It's no different than dating, other than we are now living with each other and are a lot more close.
Aaron and I were talking about how funny it is that people ask that question because we always tell them,"It's great!" But why is it so great? All we do is go to work and come home, make dinner, spend some time together and go to bed... maybe go swimming on a Monday, or perhaps go to the store. We have a date night every Friday night and go to church on Sundays. But that's about as exciting as it gets. But it's just simply the time we spend together that's so great. We love each other very much and enjoy each others' company. =)
So to all the people who are wondering... married life is AWESOME! Thanks for asking! ;)

"You may kiss the bride!" - A Celebration of Love
Aaron and I were married on May 1st 2010! It was the most magical day of my life... even if we started 60 minutes late because my soon-to-be husband and his groomsmen forgot my dad's tux! It was a 40 minute drive both to the hotel and back to get the dang thing. haha. Everything was perfect- from my dress, to the centerpieces, from our bouquets, to everything you could see, hear, smell and feel - so there had to be something gone wrong - which ended up being perfect because it gave me time to sit and think... and most importantly relax and take everything in that was going on around me in such a short period of time. I freaked out at first, but what bride wouldn't? That was also the first time both our dads had ever met... thank goodness everything went smooth after that.
We were married on the top of a hill in the Minter Gardens in Chilliwack B.C. It was the most enchanting place I have ever seen. It POURED out when the cerimony took place and it made it just perfect. Gotta love BC weather ;) once the cerimony was done we all went back down the hill and had the reception, filled with pink and white flowers and good times.
It was so great to see all the familiar faces of our family and good friends who traveled all the way out to BC to share our most special day with us... so far. We will be forever grateful for those who gave us support and love that day.
